Child Protection is a critical aspect that involves preventing and addressing exploitation, abuse, neglect, harmful practices, and violence against children, as outlined by UNICEF. Childhood is a developmental phase in a human’s life that requires particular attention and protection, given the vulnerabilities associated with incomplete physical and mental development. Accordingly, it’s essential to ensure that children receive the necessary protection and care to support their overall well-being and development. The concept of Child Protection is enshrined in both the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Sustainable Development Goals. It is applicable to all children, regardless of their socio-economic status, spanning across nations with varying income levels.
The DevInsights team is deeply engaged in researching both public and private initiatives aimed at enhancing child protection and ensuring the well-being of our youth. Our efforts contribute to advancing the field of child protection research and fostering meaningful discussions on reforms. Through thorough research and evaluation, we pinpoint critical issues within the child protection sector, working towards promoting the effective implementation of interventions that safeguard the rights and safety of children. Below are the several projects we have undertaken under the theme of Child Protection.
