Independent Monitoring Of Schools And AWCs For National Deworming Day Program

The National Deworming Day (NDD) in Delhi was scheduled for February 10, 2016, followed by mop-up day on February 15, 2016 where 1-19 years age children in Delhi were administered Albendazole tablets by anganwadi workers (AWW) and teachers at all anganwadi centres and government/government aided schools of the state.
DevInsights was selected as the independent monitoring agency for the state of Delhi to generate evidence to ascertain process evaluation of the NDD project in order to determine the number of children dewormed in the state. This project involved DevInsights to monitor the schools and Aanganwadi centres where the tablets were being administered on the day of deworming itself. A total of 826 Schools (Government and Private) schools and Aanganwadi centres were monitored during the NDD and the Mop-up rounds.
